Abbie Ortyl joined the Wolves coaching staff in spring 2024 as a goalie coach. She brings a wealth of experience coaching goalies at the club and high school level, and we are excited to have her working with our current goalies. Abbie is also a varsity field hockey coach and an ice hockey coach at Georgetown Visitation.

About Abbie:

Abbie spent two years at Merrimack before transferring to American University to complete her Division 1 field hockey career, which included a Patriot League title and an NCAA tournament birth. She has continued to share her talent in the adult field hockey world at the local and national level with the DC Dragons. She not only competes as an incredible goalie but also as a very strong field player. Her ice hockey past has been a big contributor to her easy transition from being in cage to scoring on cage, and her experience as a goalie has made her a goal scoring machine.

Abbie graduated from Lexington High School and was a member of the Wizards Field Hockey Club in Connecticut.
